hahah yeah big rocks for a small tank indeed =P, but i do like the middle biggest one i hope it will act as a nice shelf! annd i wasnt really sure how to break up the rock haha, maybe with a hammer? but i dont even have one on me.

I had to take a chisel and hammer to my rocks. If you do decide to break them up try puncturing holes along the break you are trying to create, not perfect by any means but better than hammering the rock wildly

You've got a good start though!

Reef Diver is correct on the best way to handle it. This is similar to how rock is removed to make way for roads. If you can, drill a few holes along your desired line, and then smashy-smashy. :naughtydance: This will get you close to what you are looking for and tends to work better than just randomly smashing the rocks.

i think the big rock is starting to grow on me :D and for some reason it jus looks different in real life than in the pictures. Or do yall think its really ugly?? i know its my tank so it should be whatever i find appealing but i do appreciate the opinions :D

it is your tank so whatever you find apppealing is your call haha but i love the bottom work and the big rock as a shelf looks just like my set up but then the big round rock just doesnt seem in place there haha but thats just me
