How to mount 2 float switches in a BC29?

Side by side or high and low?

 

How do they sit in the water?

 

 

 

-How high can the water level be in chamber 3? I was hoping to keep my 12" heater in it. I also have a tunze 9002 and media basket in chamber 2 (if that changes the max water level in chamber 3).
