So I visited the LFS recently and asked them about the anemones they keep.. Dunno their name, but theyre white with purple tips.. like 11 bucks they said..

I asked about feeding and they told me they feed their anemone GOLDFISH once a week... Isn't this bad to feed freshwater creatures to saltwater creatures?

Just curious, seemed odd.

Yeah it's a sebae(sp) anemone if that's how ya spell it. They feed them goldfish. Even watched. I didn't know if that was right or wrong, never heard of people feeding their saltwater stuff with freshwater stuff.....

i used to feed my lionfish guppies and ghost shrimp but then i heard that it is hard for saltwater to digest the freshwater for some reason so i switched to frozen food

To be safe would I be able to feed an anemone frozen bloodworms if I ever do get one down the road?

I highly doubt it is harmful to feed puffers or anemones goldfish. I fed goldfish and mollys to puffers lionfish and snowflake eels for over 2 years when I had my large tanks a long while ago.

They were always fat and happy.

You can feed them shrimp silversides, bloodwork, krill, about any meaty aquatic foor fresh or salt as best I know. I feed my plate coral dead godfish or 1/2 eaten goldfish from my daughters turtle tank. HE LOVES THEM!!!!!

Aight. That leads me to my next question.. Are anemones, the ones mentioned above, even suitable for a 10g? I've seen some pretty big ones at the LFS and online.

Only mini carpet anemones (Stichodactyla tapetum) are suitable. However, they are not totally safe with small fish.

IMO 10g is to small except for the predatory anemones listed above.. (predatory I mean eats anything)
