mtnsky
Their "falling off the glass and unable to get up" trick is greatly appreciated by my reef's other inhabitants. Mainly these two: I do enjoy an astrea snail's slow methodical algae eating in contrast to my single turbo snails flyby job. Do ceriths or nerite snails do a good job and not fall off the glass and wait to be eaten? Link to comment
Degener8
I like both cerith and nerite. I prefer dward cerith over the normal ones.. and medium to small nerites as generally smaller than your hermits would prefer as houses.. if you have hermits. Link to comment
Bill Nye
I like both cerith and nerite. I prefer dward cerith over the normal ones.. and medium to small nerites as generally smaller than your hermits would prefer as houses.. if you have hermits. I really like cerith snails, but they are the number 1 target of hermits everywhere. I really want to pick up some dwarf cerith so they wont get picked on as much and can fit into smaller nooks. Personally I have had bad luck with nerites. I found them to be super lazy and to try to get out of the tank alot. I hear that some of the nerites in the hobby are found in intertidal zones so they have a propensity to try to get out of the water. I also agree about astrea. I dont use them anymore in my tanks because they are stupid and just fall over and get eaten all the time. I really like turbo snails but they get way to big. I currently have one right now but he is starting to get too large. I bought him when he was like the size of a nickle maybe but now hes getting to be bigger than a quarter. Link to comment

Rem
I've got a ton of cerith snails (both dwarf and florida) from Reefcleaners that seem to do a good job. Link to comment
mtnsky
Thanks for the advice, everyone! Definitely need to get some dwarf ceriths, and some banded trochus look good too! Link to comment
