I can assist, having recently gone through this myself.

What you want to do is a two stage process. First, under the System settings, go to Timers, and program two timers to reflect the time schedule you want the lights on. There are up to 16 timers you can program for either "on" or "off" scheduling, and by day, length of time, etc. For example, if these are your only timers, then program Timer01 and Timer02. Note though that the terms Timer01 and Timer02 (and up to Timer16) here are for the System timers.

Next, instead of setting the device function to "Light" you want to set it to "Multi-Timer" and then assign the Multi-Timer "Timer01" and "Timer02" settings to whichever System timer you want it to run off of (the multi-timer can only be programed to run off of two timers (though they can be stacked for more complex functions), and these terms are different than the System timers (for example, you can assign system timers 13 and 08 to multi-timers Timer01 and 02 - it's a little confusing, I know). There is a bug in the firmware though that if you change the default "Standby Delay" from whatever is provided for the Multi-Timer, then you will override your assigned Timer02 and it won't function, so just leave the Standby Delay as is (this shouldn't matter anyway as it is a light and should just be set to "ignore" the standby mode anyway.)

Quick question though, what tank do you have? If it is the JBJ Nano Cube LED, I too started with a multi-timer for the dawn/dusk lights, but ended up programming them to turn on 2 hours before the daylights, and stay on, and then shut off a few hours after the daylights. The moonlights were set to turn on opposite to this. This was much simple and provided better "blue" lighting for the corals during the day.

Hope this helps a bit.

Cool! thanks a lot! I was just wondering how to do this myself. One thing thought, with the MH choice under Light, it control the MH so that it won't fire back up right away in the event of a power outage. This could dammage the MH bulb if there is an outage for like 2 minutes and the lamp goes off and then back on in a delay shorter than 15 minutes. So the MH lamp need time to cool down a bit before it is fired again. With the choice of MH under light this will be automatically taken car of. If one choose another instead of light, there is no such option then. But I guess nobody will put a MH on a multiple timer mode anyway.

I plan on putting my actinic on early morning then my MH will take over and then the actinic back on when the MH shot down for the evening.

Thanks! I was trying to run the multi-timer but it wasn't working. It kept dawn/dusk on all the time. I will just run it like you suggested and keep them on during the day
