Is that what this is? I tried modifying it so you could see it better but basically there's a tiny little coral lookin thing on one of my rocks that just popped up out of nowhere. Could barely tell he was there. I can't figure out what he is... I did have a zoa in my tank at one point but some evil worm popped up and killed it :'( so my tank has been coral-less for a while. Anyway, any idea what this is?

They multiply and sting. Better get rid of it now. Use the Search bar at the top and you will find all the answers ;)

they will bother your actual coral. kill it now before it torpedos your tank. i know a few people who got out of the hobby because of these anemones

I used a test pipet and shot one with boiling water about 5 times, one after another. it will pull in when you hit it, so hit the base really good. i had some pop up where this method was not an option, so i got a peppermint shrimp, and have seen no more since :D

Hmm. I could try and take the rock out and try boiling water. Or did you do it within the tank somehow?

And I haven't ever seen peppermint shrimp at my fish store :(
