I dont know how to get rid of it... Never have experienced it before so I could not tell you what works... Maybe cut down on the nutrients added to the tank... How many fish do you have? How much do you feed? Link to comment
Dasani
We used this stuff called red slime remover from chemiclean. Worked fine on my tank and my dad's 75g. Also we got rid of our black spiny urchin and it seemed we had alot more cyano and coraline popping up Link to comment
TheUnfocusedOne
Clam looks fine did your title really need to be in all caps? Link to comment
ajmckay
The end of my 1/2" siphon tube does a good job eating cyano... The stuff is easy to suck up. Just spend a few minutes every few days and do a few water changes with good water. Good luck. Link to comment
patrickboro
I have myself, a hippo tang, yellow tang, two false perc, mandarin, and a vlamingi ( dont flame me on it) I bought it from a store spost to be something different and he said that they all look like that as a juv but its not the fish I wanted so Im stuck with it.... kinda grew on me, love the fish. but I feed them a couple of small pinchs of spectrum a day. And usually every couple days a small piece of nori. And di you think using red slime remover from chemiclean could harm anything in the tank? Link to comment
reeftankguy
And di you think using red slime remover from chemiclean could harm anything in the tank? This would be a quick fix and will not fix the problem at hand... Semi-Weekly/Weekly tank maintenance is the answer... What size tank and how often and what kind of water and the percentage of WC's do you do? Link to comment
patrickboro
I have a 75 gallon tank, and I do stuff to it everyday. I never really have to do water changes, I just have to add water every couple of days because it evaporates and its usually 5 gallons. I use RO/DI from a friend, but if I cant get it from him then I use tap water with a conditionar that removes nitrates. Link to comment

And using tap water with conditioner does not remove the Phos. Nitrates from the water... Thats another problem right there... Search the forums here and you will figure it out... Link to comment
