bhskicker18
I had a post last week or 2 weeks ago about stocking a BioCube 29. I hate to say it, but I got home today and my Atlantic Pygmy Angelfish passed away . So I was wondering of any reef compatable dwarf angelfish. I wouldn't mind another Atlantic Pygmy, BUT I have already had two and they both passed away, but 3rd time's a charm so idk. But I want an Angelfish, but its not necessary. So what fish can I put in a BioCube 29. I currently have a O. Clownfish and YWG in a 10 Gallon that will be transfered to the 29, but I'm leaning toward putting the YWG in my Eclipse 12 and putting the clownfish in the 29 with 4-5 other fish. And, what type of starfish would be good for a BioCube 29 if I decide to get one down the road? Thanks, Will Link to comment
evokid511
figure out why they are dying first then get another one... but the coral beauty angel is good for a bc29 i had one in mine for about 6 months till she got to big and traded her in for some clowns Link to comment
bhskicker18
figure out why they are dying first then get another one... but the coral beauty angel is good for a bc29 i had one in mine for about 6 months till she got to big and traded her in for some clowns The first one died last year, some time between April and June because I didn't put algea sheets in the tank and the tank had 0 algea in it...... My mistake on that one. Yesterday I saw my Chocolate Chip Starfish, Chip, on a large Turbo Snail. I looked and the Turbo seemed dead so I was going to let Chip eat hin, he caught it, he can eat it.......big mistake. After I saw this, I went to my Grand Parents house and didn't get back home untill around 7:50pm tonight, I looked to see if Chip eat all of the snail, and I noticed that he wsa in the same possition that he was in when I left and that my Atlantic Pygmy Angelfish was floating at the top. When I left yesterday he was fine, just like a normal day. So I removed the snail and the Angelfish. So I put my new skimmer I bought for my BioCube (not the BioCube skimmer, but some kind of internal one, I for got its name) so I left the hood cracked abot 2-3 inches and went to Hardee's (by the way, Hand Battered Chicken Tenders are AWSOME!!!!!) get home and I can't find my 6-Line wrasse! I look on the floor, nothing, looked in the tank, nothing. I didn't pick the rocks up and check under them so homefully hes scared of the skimmer and decided to hide! But I think the Snail died of natural causes and must of poisioned the tank or something, because I think (not a marine biologist) its kind of weird that both a snail and my Angelfish die either the same day (yesterday) or 1 day apart. But again, its a guess as I'm not a marine Biologist lol. All of this happened in my Eclipse 12 lol Link to comment
evokid511
hmmm it might be possible the snail caused it ive always wondered the same thing cuz i have 2 turbos die but i pull them right out when i see it for fear if it posioning the tank... have you checked your parameters and everything? six line can hide about anywhere but usually not for long last time i thought mine was just hiding he was stuck in the rock so just keep in eye out Link to comment

But I really think it was the Turbo Snail that posinioned the tank or something. Everything was perfect. Ammonia-0 Nitrate-0 Nitrite-0 pH-8.1 Link to comment

I almost got a Jet Black O. Clownfish Saturday. No orange on his body, not on the mouth, not on the nose, no where! I didn't cause I had 6 line and Angel in the 12 and a clown and a YWG in the 10. I might go tomorrow and get it. But does this sound good for the BioCube 29: 1 O. Clownfish 1 Royal Gramma 1 Zebra Barred Dartfish either 1 Purple Firefish OR 1 Cherub Angelfish, Flame, or Coral Beauty (After the tanks matured for about 8 months to a year) 1 Citrinus Goby I had a regular FireFish with a Zebra Barred Dartfish (I got the Dartfish on a Sunday) and I got home from school on Tuesday and there was no Dartfish So I don't know what happened. But will a Purple Firefish and a Zebra Barred Dartfish be compatable? Link to comment
