saltyliving
I have a Tunze nano skimmer and im trying to get better skimmate. Its been running for 1.5-2 weeks. Im getting about a a half cut wet light colored skimmate a day. I would like darker dryer skimmate. I have adjusted the water level up and down and dialed the air intake all over the place. Any help would be appreciated. Link to comment
StevieT
The Tunze produces a light tea like wet skimmate. A dry skimmate is not possible. Link to comment
dougellefson
How old is your tank? Do you have a cleanup crew? If so, what is it made up of? There are many factors that can affect the rate the skimmer will pull. The age of your tank, your water changing routine, the bio-load your livestock is putting on the tank, the effectiveness of your CUC, etc... If you give a little more info you will get a lot more help/info. from other members here. I have the same skimmer, I think it's great. It took me a week or so to find the correct setting, and even after time the amount/color of skimmate changes. Link to comment
