Seanano
Alright I'm going forward w/ my LED project. I was on hiatus due to serious family issues and everythings taken a hit. But my Radium is set to expire. So what size heatsink would you reccommend for 24x20x18? I am thinking 12x10 w/ 26LEDS. Any inputs welcome. Thanx Link to comment
evilc66
24x20 should need about an 8x4 array for good coverage. A 16x10" heatsink from HeatsinkUSA will do the job nicely. Link to comment

I was really hoping to get away with just two meanwells but it is what it is. Is there a formula for figuring out the heatsink? Link to comment
evilc66
Dropping to 24 LEDs would hurt coverage, but it could be done. 32 will still be better. Figuring heatsink size is easy. Just make it bigger than your LED layout The size of heatsink, and the array that I suggested is based on my standard spacing: 2" between LEDs per row, and 3" between rows. Link to comment
