BC29 Open Top and Aqua Illumination

Nanoized

Recommended Posts

I picked up a used BC29 and may look into the AI LED lighting.

Is the light spread enough to cover the entire tank with one module?

I know on their original product two modules were recommended but with the technology changing so fast I'm hoping there has been a coverage improvement.

Thanks in advance.

Everything I have read points to 2.

I almost passed out when I saw the price tag of $1200 to light a BC29.

yeah..its too much to spend if two modules are needed.

Do you have the hood?

You could do one of these:

Or, you could DIY one yourself and save big over the AI fixtures.

Yeah I have the hood.

My problem with the nanotuners hood mods is they can't move from tank to tank.

I'd rather have a fixture I can move around if necessary.

I've got this pendent that I really like, but at 70w only.

No fans and completely silent.

I can change the bulb and ballast to convert it to 150w but I would have liked to try LED.
