JordanG Posted April 10, 2010 Posted April 10, 2010 I want this tank http://www.marinedepot.com/Mr._Aqua_Cube_F...-FIAQRC-vi.html and i want it to be sleek. I want go filtration but i want it to be sleek. I am not super sure on drilling it i don't know if its thick enough. I want a vortech eventually but for now i think a koralia 1 and a nano . I was just going to do manual top offs until i could get a reefkeeper. My fear is with sump it will overflow or something and i can't have any kind of risk in that.

You shouldn't have a problem drilling the glass. Just call Marine Depot or manufacturer and verify that its not tempered glass. It shouldn't be, but just incase. Once you drill it you will not have to worry about the sump overflowing. I know a local reefer that I just helped set up a Rapids Pro Series Wet/Dry Filter Systems version 2 (much better than the version 1) with ato and its actually a really nice unit with good flow and the skimmer is not too shabby on it (considering its an all in one). This unit is designed not to overflow though. This would be nice for a fowlr system.
Aegeon Posted April 16, 2010 Posted April 16, 2010 I just had this exact tank delivered today. I'm going to try drilling it using a glass-holes.com nano kit this weekend if the weather's good. I'll let you know how it comes out.
