fxman
I have the opportunity to buy a Tuze 9002 and I was wondering if it is needed for a 29 bio. I only have Softies, candy canes, and a frog spawn. I will soon have some acan and zoa. I also plan on getting 2 piccaso or black and white percs. I do 2 1/2 gallon water changes about twice a week. Thanks Link to comment

But of course, it will be beneficial. Link to comment
bird
probably has a lot to do with the fish load and how much food you add, how frequent water changes, etc. I am not using one now, but only time will tell. I am hoping that macro algae will help to keep nutrients low enough along with filter media pads and water changes. Link to comment
nemmy
Needed no, but it will sure help your water quality. If you start keeping SPS and a bunch of fish i would recommend it. Or if you have a habit of spoiling you fish with lots of food. Link to comment
fxman
Thanks for the responses. No plans for SPS and I'm not a big fish feeder. I will reassess after I add the 2 percs. Link to comment
