chrishayes
three out of the 4 moonlights on my cube are strobing on my nc28. anyone know what could be the cause and how to fix it? they have always done weird stuff like dimming and returning to bright and this seems to alternate from bulb to bulb occasionally. What gives? Link to comment
evilc66
That is quite strange. Do they all strobe together, or are they all random? Link to comment
chrishayes
That is quite strange. Do they all strobe together, or are they all random? You know I didnt pay any attention to that...I will check tonight. It started with 2 of them(diagonally across from each other) being so dim you couldnt really tell they were on with the other 2 at normal brightness. Then I changed the 2 "good" bulbs to the front and the "bad" 2 to the back. Now 3 of them are flashing and the other is just kinda dim...any thoughts? I am an electrician but have little experience with led. Normally when things go strange with lighting it is a grounded conductor problem or bad ballast. Link to comment
evilc66
It's possible that it's the power supply for them. Bad capacitor or something, but that's only really if they are strobing at the same rate. If it's independant, it could be the LEDs, but that's a strange failure mode. They are normally all or nothing. Link to comment

marinekeeper
i had the same problem with my jbj 12 dx. I tore it apart and it turned out to be junk wiring. Take it apart and jiggle some connectors, you may see what i mean. Link to comment

At that time I had the connectors for the moon lights unplugged and whatnot and even moved the wafers around so that the good bulbs would be in the front. I didnt see anything that stuck out to me.
