Surferboy
Hey there folks, I have a marine nano reef in a Biorb L60. Everything is going well so far; I have live rock a cleaner shrimp, a white tipped sea urchin, a blue legged hermit crab and a firefish thus far. I've just added a firefish to my tank. He tends to stay close to the bolt hole, near the bottom, which is underneath a piece of live rock. He does come out during the day, but not far from this place of safety. I'm concerned my cleaner shrimp will be hogging all the food! He's VERY active and has become rather OCD about cleaning my hand! I'm just a bit worried that the firefish will not be getting the food he needs. As soon as food goes in the cleaner seems to jump on it. Any ideas folks? Would be much appreciated. All good things, Craig Link to comment
smootie
I've had three firefish, and the all took about a week to gain confidence and swim around confidently. It took a few more days for them to hold their own against the other guyzos in the tank at feeding time. Fish can go a pretty long time without eating - I wouldn't worry too much unless his tummy looks pinched. Hope that helps! Link to comment
