sammiewags
I have a star polyp and a kenya tree.. they are both on solid pieces of rock.. where I have them placed, they look strange.. the star polyp is on a pieces of LR but I was wondering can I move it down ontop of the sand next to rock? I've seen people place theirs on/in the sand.. is this ok? is there a certain way/wrong way to place them? Link to comment

I've never owned GSP but I hear many people put them in the sand because if they get to the rocks and spread they are really difficult to get off. If they are on the sand, you can control where they go much more easily. Although there are wrong places you can put corals, I don't think either of the two pieces you have matter all that much where they go. Link to comment
FiRsT-aNd-LaSt
If you look at my tank thread you can see mine on the sand bed and have no issues whatsoever and they grow like weeds, like Max3 said it's nice having them on the sand bed so you can control where they grow. Link to comment
