thanks for looking. I'm still getting the hang of this new camera. Its amazing how different the pics are with a dslr compared to a p&s.

I love your scape, especially the beach front property. I was going to say move the snail shell because it threw off the scale of the tank, until I saw the pic of the blenny in his home. Now I love it!

jc, is that puffer reef safe?

Its arguable, mine doesn't bother fish, but he eats the hell out of some snails! In the wild thats a major part of their diet and mine breed a lot so its ok.

BTW, COOL PICS. Love that puffer. Your tank looks great.

how thick is your heatsink? there are a few different thicknesses on the heatsinkusa website, and did you put a fan on the heatsink or just the stock fans?

Correction: I have a spare piece here and just remeasured it. It's a little bit over 1", but I think you measure the fins only therefore, its 1"

I put the fans in. I used Desktop PC computer fans. They work, but they are a bit loud and maybe overkill. I plan on changing them the next time I make any changes to the hood.

  • 1 month later...

I haven't updated this in a while. Since the last post I have replaced the stock lighting with led's and have changed the aquascape a little bit. It seems like every time I take out a piece of rock my tanks looks better!

Really Nice. Love that picture of the Clown Goby! Nice work...

Thanks, your tank is looking pretty nice as well. Your led write up was really helpful.
