SushiYum
My 15g main tank will be accompanied by a 10g sump/fuge. I will have two return holes on the main tank so i guess the flow will be divided by 2. and the pump will be around 3.5 feet under the return holes. i wanted to get a Mag 3 but someone said that may be too big as in flow for my 10 gallon. soo..some direction would be appreciated thanks. SushiYum
yea..that didn't help.. i will be using 1/2" hose. and that wasn't an option.. BLAH Link to comment
firebirdude
I also found that calculator to run a little low. I was getting more output than it said I should. But no matter. The most important thing to keep in mind is that you can never have too LITTLE flow through your sump. For something small like that... I'd think about using a Maxijet or the stock Biocube pump. Maybe a Rio600? Link to comment
SushiYum
i'm gonna have a fuge too. i did some research and people are saying low flow through fuge is better. Link to comment
firebirdude
Exactly what I said. The slower your flow through your sump/fuge/skimmer/filtration area, the better. Link to comment
