Chromis
How much light could I get by with over a 20 gallon long (30"x12"x12") for the following "low to med light corals" (I think they are low-med): Mushrooms Star Pylops Cup Corals Xienia Leather Corals Colt Corals Zooanthids I plan on going with PCs so how many would you recomend and at what wattage? Thanks. Link to comment
NanoReefer53
i would just go with 2x55 and spread them out. Get 50/50's so it evens out the color throughout the tank. Link to comment
HuBu
yup. i would get the ballast from ahsupply and the bulbs from hellolights since they have 03 actinics. Link to comment
Chromis
Cool ... could I upgrade the tank size with that kind of light? Say a 29gallon? Link to comment
HuBu
yes you can. but then again that would really depend on what you want to keep in the 29 gal. most of the stuff on your list require moderate to medium lighting. so yes you can upgrade your tank. i m going to start a 29 gal tank with 1 175W Mh and 2 36W PC, which can be considered an overkill but then again i want to be able to keep sps, lps, and clams.
