lil_schmitts
I just brought home another piece of live rock from the LFS and was looking at it before putting it in my tank and there is a 3-4" green worm-like thing on it is this good or bad? it looks like a centiped but green and in the water. it was in like a gravel nest thing. i thought it was just debris so i wiped it of and he came running out. *This thread has been copied into the Identifications forum. Physh1
It's likely just a bristle worm...nothing to worry about. They are helpfull and not harmful. Cameron Link to comment

Physh1
It's really fine....no need to remove him. Some say that if they get 6+" than it may be a good idea to move him. They are helpful to your tank. The best time to see them out is at night time. Cameron Link to comment
technoshaman
Let it be till you can snap a pic or actually see them causing havoc. Most of the worms we get with our sand and liverock are beneficial scavengers or filter feeders. Link to comment
