Metznreef
i just got a 3 inch cooling fan from radio shack and am wondering how i should set it up. any suggestions? Link to comment
Christopher Marks
Are there any openings already in the canopy, such as an open back? If not, wherever you place it you'll need a hole for the fan to pull air in, or push it out, as well as a hole to let air into the canopy. Perhaps place the fan on one side of the canopy, and a hole on the other side? Link to comment
Metznreef
i don't have a canopy but there are two vents in the strip light. the way i have the fan set up is blowing the air into one vent and out the other. is this okay? Link to comment
Vixyswillie
Sounds like a good plan, Metz. From what I've heard, it's best to have the fan pull outside air IN instead of blowing inside air OUT. The latter will more quickly corrode your fan (because of the salt water). Link to comment
Sahin
I got 3x 1inch fans mine blowing air in. And 1x 3inch fan blowing air out. seems good to me. Link to comment
