up.left
Please if you can tell me what this stuff is. It has been on this rock for awhile now and hasn't started growing until i started getting corals and feeding them. It is soft and is now growing tentacles. If you have advice it would be appreciated. Also there was only one. Now a bunch. should i remove the rock? Will they become a nascence or cover corals? Link to comment
ajmckay
Hmm.... it's difficult to tell based on the pictures. From the first picture it definitely looks like a sponge (with some algae or something growing out of it), or maybe a colony of foramiferans. As for the second pic, the yellowish things also look like they could be sponges, but if you're seeing actual tentacles, then they could be some type of corallimorphs. If they aren't tentacles then maybe a type of tunicate. Link to comment
lakshwadeep
They look like sponges, which are harmless. Link to comment
up.left
The first picture is of the one under the small male clown. Im not sure cause the one on the bottom front near the sand has like 4 tentacle looking things but all the other ones almost look like white hair. Like the first picture. Are they going to continue to multiply so fast if so i would like to take the rock out. Link to comment
