cruzH20polo
I just got mine less than a week ago. I've been target feeding him. I turn off the pumps, and shoot some food right in front of his hole with a tube on a syringe. He's not too picky, he'll eat frozen or broken up flakes. I hope that you can find yours and get him to eat. I hope i can find him too and soon, ive got class all afternoon tomorrow, im keeping my fingers crossed ill see him in the morning Did you get a pistol shrimp!!! The combo is awesome! The pistol, will redecorate your gravel! I know the combo is awesome, but no I did not 1st, the lfs didn't have any pistols 2nd I dont want it pestering nearby frags so for now just the yasha, and maybe down the line... once i get my scape exactly how I want it On that note... im not to happy with my current scape, its just the two islands pushed together to get it all under the powerbrites I dont know what I want to do, but I dont want to stress out the yasha, so ill wait a few weeks and then try again, or maybe get a 2nd strip of powerbrites suggestions please Link to comment
violinist
Man midwest coral had a yasha/pistol pair for sale. I barely had enough willpower (or common sense) to resist buying... If only the hex were ready!!! How is your yasha doing? Link to comment

Arkayology
I have found that a gobies are very shy for many weeks. My Suntail has only now started to start moving around the tank and not only hiding under his rock. I think that the "two mountain" look is pretty nice as far as scapes in 20L go. Also, I am not sure how much longer I can resist buying acans lol . Yours looks so nice... I might have to go buy one tonight when I stop by the LFS. Link to comment

I just want to make sure he eats though Its a squished together to be in the powerbrite range, im not real happy with its looking now Acans are awesome, they eat a lot, and grow fast, there a new set of buds growing around the perimeter and once those mature, it'll be fraggin time... i know you still have dibs on frag i should try and get a pic of the echinata spp. its grown a lot at well Link to comment
violinist
I'm with socal on the acans. Really cool. Why do you want to re-scape? I think it's looking good. Link to comment

I think it's looking good. structural support is a big one and I dont really like to coral placement that it allows for, maybe I could just try to adjust coral placement i don't know though nothing is happening though until i see my goby Link to comment
latteslave
Here is a fts prior to the new livestock additions fts Comparison of the two scapes... I like the first one - that's one of the reasons I like the long tank. You can do so many types of scapes from long to islands. Wish you could figure a way to get the LED coverage with the two islands. with that said - still digging the tank! The Yuma pics are nice, and I love that acan. ****OH - and I don't see a clam yet! cruzH20polo
thanks for the comparison latte!! i guess i could get a second powerbrite and go back to the 2 island look but im about due for a bulb change for the T5's i need to save money for one or the other, but which one first ive got about 2 months before the bulbs need to be changed and i know i know i need the clam I've been looking locally and havent found anything that tickles my fancy that lord keeps gettin bigger and bigger and I want some more to start a acan garden too, but the real grower is the echinata ill try to get some comparison pics today soo many things to do... the top right side of the scape is looking prime for some sps too theres so much I want todo Link to comment
violinist
Still no yasha pics. It's ok to admit that you just said you got a yasha because you wanted to look cool. Living a lie is not healthy. Link to comment
cruzH20polo
violinist you got me ... i just wanted to be a part of the cool kids club but really though ... I haven't seen him since I put him in im startin to get a little worried about him but believe me, when I see him, so will all of you Link to comment
cruzH20polo
Judging by im recent rapid increase in cheato and my lack of seeing him, or being able to make sure he eats I've come to the conclusion that the yasha didn't make it =/ I think two more weeks of my water change regime Ill get another fish ... bummed on top of that I've got a final due tmo that im procrastinating, but nano reefing is the best way to do that Link to comment
Arkayology
You should frag that acan and send some to me Too bad about the Yasha. I just lost my firefish yesterday and violinist lost his 6line a couple days ago. It has been a bad week for fish. Link to comment
cruzH20polo
you should feed and baby your acans frag some, then we can trade ... i think we have a plan and I know ... its a bummer everything else is doing fine though ... oh well ill try again soon Link to comment
Arkayology
How do you feed yours? Do you turn off the pumps and drop mysis on them? I tried that and mine ate a few pieces. I am just not sure about how to frag them, but when I figure it out, we should trade. Link to comment
cruzH20polo
what i do is: right before my actinics are about to kick off, i drop a little cyclopise in the water after the lights kick off their tentacles will be out and in full feeding mode then i turn off the pumps and wait about 15 mins then I spot feed with a mixture of cyclopise and mysis to 1/4-1/2 of the polyps then feed the rest of the tank, make sure everyone has either ingested or has a good hold of a goodie turn on the pumps and the excesses that settled to the bottom, will get picked up and the rest of the polyps will had food past over their mouths by the current so they all get a little snack give that shot, it works for me just did some quick editing and cleaning up of the thread, so there is no longer and epic of a 1st post Link to comment
violinist
That sucks about the yasha. Wtf that's like 3 of us lost a fish this week. I guess we are a bunch of noobs who have moved too fast Link to comment
cruzH20polo
I feel like I waited a decent amount of time after i put in the last firefish and when i put the yasha in though, at least 5 months, probably more than that Link to comment
violinist
Sucks man. Can you get a refund? Link to comment
