pismo_reefer Posted July 15, 2009 Author Share Posted July 15, 2009 it makes everything grow like crazy! the day-by-day growth on my monti cap is nuts. and all my zoa's grow 1-3 new polyps a week, if not more.....the downsides are the ugly display color, and the 6500k produces alot more algae on the glass. its more of a 12k color IRL, but still quite yellow. when i get the $'s im switchin' to a 14k and a Blue+..... \ some new pics, cuz the forum ate the last ones, lol (i apologize for the slight bleaching of some of my corals. i just went thru some ph fluctuation issues, but all is under control now. enjoy. ) starting with the newest living thing: the new ricordea (only $5): the blue mush: ...and his friends (we LOVE the blue cloves!): i watch this monti grow daily.... pismo_reefer Posted July 20, 2009 Author Share Posted July 20, 2009 scored some nice new corals at teh LFS today!!!! got a NICE torch and some sweet new zoa's for $10..... starting with the new $5.oo torch.....this is him just after placement: 30min's in the tank: 1hour in the tank: torch macro: the new zoa's (also 5 bux): i also got some sweet new tank / critter shots. so, check back in a few minutes for those.... RockStar's: oh ya...now thats a skirt: a decent compliment to eachother, as well.... KeddRedd's, Blue Velvet's, & PD's.....(look how the red is showing up in the Blue's skirts!) closer look at the red/blue action... the monti grows sooo fast.... some shrooms.... this one had a baby while i was camping over the weekend.... as did this one....
