i redid my rock work last night so i could have more space for corals and there are some tunnels for fish.

are those good or bad?

Some good, some bad, some who knows.

I have some pretty hydroids on an acan rock that I haven't killed off as they seem benign enough. There are some, though, that are pretty bad. Just keep an eye on them in case they multiply elsewhere.

thanks for the replies and what exactly do they do.

They are like a jellyfish that is stationary for most of it's life rather than mobile. A lot of times they can irritate/kill corals. It all depends on the species.
