Big thanks to Evil for all the help. Everything turned out great. Now on to the BC14 and going from a 70w sunpod to LED's with a controller. More pic's to come when the dust settles. Link to comment

cdelicath
The turned out really good in the water. I was afraid they would be super purple and gay looking but they are perfect. I will have more pic's in a bit the tank is clearing up. Link to comment
kenthenanoguy
This is amazing! The betta tank made into a pico is briliant! Can't wait to see a pic of it cleared up....Well done! Link to comment

coolwaters
i would secure that hook. if anything happens and that AC current gets in that tank it will kill everything. Link to comment
cdelicath
The pendant barely weighs a pound and the hook is rated for something crazy stupid like 40lb. Plus no kids yet to knock it off into the water. It cleared up really good overnight and I'm going to test the water and get some more pic's. Now I need plans for a gravity top-off I have a cabinet right above the tank so I just need to find plans I trust to use. If the water tests good I have some zenia I am going to plop in there and watch to make sure everything is ok. The sand and water are all from an existing tank but the rock sat out for a bit so i'm not sure if it will cycle again. Link to comment
Codeman
Looks great! $100 for that tiny LED array seems like a lot though. Link to comment

tinyreef
wow, you actually blinded me with that rock. lol! very funky! interested to see how that turns out though (i.e. paint inside the tank). Link to comment
cdelicath
well I went looking for coral this morning already at my buddies shop and came to the realization that my rock wall doesn't leave me much room at all. I am considering removing it and making a peninsula off the overflow. With the amount of light I have I can get some nice coral in here but I lack space. What do you guys think? Link to comment
clownfish1124
that's what a rock wall is for, growing corals on the wall. Link to comment
cdelicath
I know. It's just taking up so much room. I wish I would have made it smaller Link to comment
yardboy
I've got a rock wall similar to that, on a 10 gallon tank for over three years, and I can say that it ain't all it's cracked up to be for me. I think your peninsula idea (sorta like a frontal view of a bommie) would work better. I really hope this works out for you. I've got a little 1/2 gallon tank that I've tried several times to make into a reef, but the light has always limited me. If your lfs can't provide you with what you want, I've got lots of pico frags that might work. I'd be willing to pass them cheap, just to find out if they work under the light or not. Link to comment
cdelicath
I Think I have decided to remove the wall. This thing is turning into a pain quickly. Top off is insane and salt creep also. just little thing but still a pain. I tried a top for it and it helped quite a bit but I worry about oxygenation of the water and everytime i go to remove the lid the evap spills off the lid onto the desk. All these little things are ####### me off. But at least anyone that reads this won't make the same mistakes. So I still need to find an ATO method for it. I am considering just putting a aqua lifter on a timer and letting it run for 1 min every 4 hours. the PicO seems to be using about 1/2 cup of water every 4 to 5 hours. I would still like to use a Gravity ATO but none of the plans I have found seem very safe. I will figure it out eventually Stay tuned...... Link to comment
danktank
i can feel it this tank is gonna be awsome +1 to the removal of the rock wall can you just pick up one side and make the evap spill back into the tank? Link to comment
