Cant get salt to:

Hi Im using the IO brand of salt mix and my problem is that I've never gotten the salt to dissolve 100 percent. I always let the salt mix for 48 hours each time and still I always see a few white specs floating around. I was using a maxi-jet 1200 in a 5 gallon bucket to mix and I thought maybe it was making enough flow to mix everything properly so I got a 824gph pump and still the same problem.

 

Is it normal to see a few undissolved grains?

no sweat, it happens all the time, the amount of minerals that wont immediately dissolve varies from batch to batch, but it's nothing to worry about.....it's not the actual salt not dissolving, its some of the other minerals and what not that are in it that will eventually dissolve in the tank, no harm, just dump it in
