Jayasinme
How long dose it take for the pulsing xenia to attach its self to a rock? Link to comment
cdelicath
it took like 1 day in my tank. They are a PITA spread like weeds Link to comment
PoopCola
what kind of rock is that frag on??? also attachment time varies Link to comment
octoman
I dont have a tank myself but I do know alot about xenias. It should take about a couple of days. Link to comment
MR.FEESH
Put it on your live rock. It should attach quickly- a couple days I'd say. Link to comment
cdelicath
I would put it higher in the tank and close to flow if possible because it will find it's way there eventually and in doing so it will take over your tank. Link to comment
iFISTmoose
i ruberbanded mine Link to comment
cdelicath
mine moved itself about 5" within 1 month just to get in front of my korilia. I'm pretty sure they like medium flow and good light I think mine are just retarded. Oh well they are getting fragged out this week anyways. Got to make room for other stuff. Link to comment
bad ed
get some fishing line and tie it to the rock. You dont necisarilly need to tie it down to the center of your xenia, because it will attatch itself anyways with a few days. I agree with the :it spreads like weeds" comment, it grows rather quickly and can get out of hand. when i irst started i got some xenia and it spread like gangbusters which was fine but i grew tired of it rather quickly. xbwolfx
do you have a full tank shot? Link to comment
xbwolfx
how old is this tank? you need a lot more live rock. i don't even know what type of rock that is. do you test for ammonia, nitrites, nitrates, ph, alk, calcium? are you running any carbon, chemipure, purigen, etc...? do you have a refugium in your back chambers? cdelicath
OMG Ok now that I got that out of the way... Dude you really need to make some changes You need to get some LR in there ASAP or get a skimmer. The only biological filtration you have is the sand "not good" If I where you I would buy some LR and some chemi-pure as soon as you can. May be ok now but you can't have coral in a setup like that. and i'm sure your fish will be much more happy. Link to comment
xbwolfx
3 years old ph 8.0 nitrite 0 ammonia .20 nitrate 20 doing more test 3 years old? Have you done any research within the past 3 years or have you just believed everything your LFS tells you? Link to comment
