Dumph
I have a 90l nano about 16 weeks old and clearer crew + boxing shrimp, blue yellow tailed damsel, royal gramma, and maroon gold barred clown with green bubble tip anemone but over the last couple of days a scum like algae has formed on the surface of the water. I have live rock and a skimmer but am unsure as to what this is - anyone enlighten me and put my mind at rest as to whether or not I should be worried about it? Many thanks Link to comment
vangvace
how much surface agitation do you have? Link to comment
Azfishguy
Not sure of what it is. Does it look like grease floating on the surface? And does it have a dark color to it? I would skim the crud off the surface. Link to comment

No thankfully it doesn't look like grease - i had thought about skimming it off - might give it a try later - thanks Link to comment
Smurf
Problem solved. Point power heads or pumps towards the surface. Link to comment
