it.. looks like spit..

Ok, I am getting every so often this cloud of whitish stuff that looks a lot like spit.. it comes from the rocks or around the rocks somewhere and floats up, but I never see anything around where it seems to originate. All I have in there is a sexy shrimp, two trochus snails, and 3 of those baby hitchhiker brittle starfish.

 

Any clue what might be causing this?

I might, I do get webby things, especially when I do a water change. However this is more a sudden burst/cloud of stuff..
