What to do and how to keep the PH stable? thx P that Ph is stable,, at night/lights are off Ph will drop,, during the day (lights are on it will rise. Dont try and keep your tank at "text book" partameters.. YOUR corals and the look of your tank will tell you if something is wrong,, If it aint Broke Dont fix it. Link to comment
kgehrke
Your PH isn't bad, but there are alternatives to keep it stable. Deep sand beds will do it, but they can be a nuisance, you can put a light on the rear section of the tank on a reverse cycle too. Good luck Link to comment
vangvace
reverse daylight cycle fuge is the easiest way to maintain Ph overnight. Oh and that is a normal Ph swing BTW. Link to comment
annamarie421
^^ What they said. Also, opening up the windows to get fresh air in the house will also help if you live in a newer house (airing out the house reduces CO2 buildup) will help raise the pH as well. If it's cold there, that's not the best option. It's 12*F here right now A kalk drip at night would be another thing to consider. Link to comment

I'm going to disagree with this post only because it came from a Habs fan. Link to comment

Mr. Fosi
Skimmers can help moderate nightly pH swings as well. You should do some reading about why your pH swings, then you will know what is and isn't acceptable. Link to comment
