MidiMouse
So far I have a Percula clown in my 8g with 12 lbs LS, 7 lbs LR, 5 cortez crabs, 2 margarita snails. You guys think it can handle a Royal Gramma? What else would you recommend? Thanks, Lam Link to comment
samstersam
in my opinion and only my opinion if you are not the lazy type and are very studious at water checks and observe the animal behaviour then most likely anything is doable.... in this specific case, it is tight and i think after the royal gramma you should not put anymore fish but even just the royal gramma and a clown in a small tank might be pushing it a) bioload especially if you are prone to get lazy both fish are territorial. I say if you really need another fish in there go with a non-territorial type fish that doesn't exceed 3 inches... Link to comment
Phish
Dont opt for another fish... if you really wanted a Royal Gramma, you should have not gotten the Clown. Hey, Cortez Hermits!!! So Cal, You go to TONG'S dont you... (not sure but I think you were on that thread) How do you like the Cortez hermits, mine are lazy, they sleep between 11-1 (day time) and 'go to bed' around 9pm... but are very active between those times? Wierd little buggers, lazy too... But if you really want a Royal Gramma, maybe you could take back the Clown for Store credit (call first) and then get the Royal Gramma... that could work :| Link to comment
MidiMouse
Haha it's okay...I was just wondering what else I can put in my tank. I wanted to put one more little guy in there, but I don't want to hurt anyone if it will be too much of a bioload. Yeah of course I goto Tong's! haha. Mine aren't all lazy they actually are always on the move. Maybe you just got the lazy ones of the bunch! Phish, you got pm. -Lam Link to comment
Kirklan
I wouldn't go for the royal gramma, but how about a red or purple firefish. Link to comment
Phish
Firefish would be good too... Hey WTF happend to my other post? I had another post talking about how the 1" per 1g was bad... its gone... ohh well, my posts dissapear all the time (I get edited for content on Reeflounge.com all the time) Link to comment
MidiMouse
Firefish are pretty cool! I had a firefish to start with but he died for some unknown reason...= Think it was just a bad fish. My lfs gave me the clown instead and thought maybe my cortez crabs killed it? What do you think? Crabs kill it or just a bad fish? -Lam Link to comment
Phish
Cortez Hermits should be 100% reef safe, better than blue-leggs and red-legs. BTW you have a PM Link to comment
zizmans
I would not put 2 fish in an 8 gal. Link to comment
