MrAnderson Posted March 23, 2009 Author Share Posted March 23, 2009 thanks for the appreciation everyone. it's really odd keeping stuff like this after years of corals. i'm just not familiar with the creatures, i don't have a feel for how quickly the water will foul, working in the tank is PAINFUL, it's a new world. my strategy is this - i'm gonna feed what i can, and whatever lives i will consider "happy" in the new environment. then, whatever is "happy" i will get more of. i've been told the Urticina is easy to keep, so maybe i'll get another 5 or 6 if the one i have stays alive for a couple months. i'll see what makes it and go from there. i'm not interested in trying to keep things that are difficult, simply to have a somewhat stable population in terms of number and diversity. MrAnderson Posted March 30, 2009 Author Share Posted March 30, 2009 some coralline that came on the rock with some of the macroalgaes. i also got quite a few chunks of coralline which i guess grows up there in maine as nuggets. you can see some of them in the pics of the nems posted earlier.
