yankeereefer
Found this little guy at the LFS yesterday - He's only an inch or so long. Too cool. Not sure of ID though, thinking G. affinus or C. tuberculata What do you think? posted on RC mantis forum as well Link to comment
BustytheSnowMaam
Try this: Roy's List of Stomatopods for the Aquarium G. affinus is a good guess, do you know the origin of the LR he was found in? Some Carib species from shallow depths can have a mottled appearance as well. Link to comment
lakshwadeep
Great color. It reminds me of Randall's pistol shrimp. Link to comment
yankeereefer
Great color. It reminds me of Randall's pistol shrimp. That's actually what I thought it was - Almost walked right by. Went out and picked up some bottled pods this afternoon for it. The tank he's in is just over a gallon. I placed a small pile of rubble and chaeto in the corner of it hoping that some of the pods migrate there and reproduce Link to comment
