SaltWaterNewb
Maxi-jet and Tunze are two that would work. Link to comment
scottyreef
well i thought tunze would work but the 6025 i was going to buy dont work on a wavemaker that tunzes makes will it work on the plug in type wavemaker? Link to comment
91coupe
The accella powerheads from JBJ work, as their nano cube 28hqi is equipped with them. I have heard that maxi-jets are reliable on a wavemaker. My experience with koralia's has indicated that they are not reliable on a wavemaker. Link to comment

Tunze's official stance is the 6025 can be plugged in to a wavemaker that has a cycle duration longer than 10 minutes. Even so, they still make an annoying clunk every time they turn on and off. Koralias aren't recommended to be used on wavemakers unless you get the low voltage koralias and their custom wavemaker. Your best bet is the maxijet on a regular wavemaker, I used those for years and they were both silent, reliable and affordable. Link to comment
masterbuilder
Used my maxijets on a wavemaker for 2 years without any problems Link to comment

Just curious, I would like to try it but 10 minutes seems like a long duration, maybe it's not. I can see what you mean about the start up though. Link to comment

I considered getting 2 on a wavemaker after doing the RC mod to soften the clunk but decided to go with the vortech instead. It might be 15 mins but I think it'll still wear out the pump pretty quickly. Link to comment

I don't think that a$$ is ever going to send it. Link to comment
