darcurr
I was wondering if there are steps you can take to help pods develop in a new tank. Link to comment
geekreef_05
A quick sure-fire method? Not really. Pod culturing more or less requires a predator free environment with lots of food. What you can do is increase your phyto dosing to as much as possible. Pods thrive off the stuff. Link to comment
dopamine
just need some miracle grow, water, and sunlight. BAM...grow your own pods! Link to comment
rotarymagic
miracle grow, really? ROFLMAO Easiest way... Take a 10gallon tank fill it with saltwater and a sponge filter/airpump, put it in the window so the water turns green... Add a reef nutrition container of tigger pods, add phytoplankton every so often just to keep the green tint of the water and when you want to harvest them... get an LED light for the top (they seem attracted to light) Use a brine shrimp net to get them out. It typically works out ok, but I have seen people that prefer to siphon out the pods. This leaves you with a predator free environment and in a week the pods boom ridiculously!!!! Link to comment
lakshwadeep
pod pile (from josh day): Make a small pile of LR rubble. Add small pieces of shrimp or other things into the rock that can't be reached by hermits, shrimp, etc. http://joshday.com/mandaringoby.htm (many other methods included) Link to comment
