fishez4alivin
About a month ago, my step daughter's came for their summertime visit. I was a little concerned about one of the girls trying to overfeed, mess with the tank. Well my worries became reality when two events happened immediately after their arrival. My tank's main power supply had mysteriously been yanked out of the socket, leaving the power off for like 12 hours+, everything seemed ok, except for an Acan colony, frogspawn branching, wall frogspawn, and two high$$ scolymias. Those corals got mildly bleached out, and are recovering. Two days later, my purple tang was found next to the tank.... Alright, I was getting a little pissed off now, too many coincidences were happening. So I did what I had to do to end all the BS...Nope, didn't spank em....I had them set up their own tank. We would have the two tanks side by side, and they could learn all about reefing. I decided to use their tank to recover the corals. So originally I was going to run a 10G into my sump and be done with it. But since their tank is their tank, and I didn't want to chance another mishap, I took a 10G TruVu hex tank, and made it into an AIO.... 10G TruVu Hex tank with custom Acrylic back chambers, no false wall on this tank, its added volume around 4 gallons added volume. Dual fans 50W heater 30# sand 15# rock Chalupera MJ900 Back chambers Fans First Aquascape, notice K3 controllable, too much flow even with it turned way down. FTS Good thing this one didn't get affected True Perc Link to comment

OziD
when i was a young boy, i guess my dad had a saltwater tank (all i ever remember is a couple freshwater tanks... but that doesn't matter). Apparently, I enjoyed throwing things into the SW tank. Being almost a clone of my father, I don't know how I am alive today to tell you I did this. I have my own SW tank now (much cooler than his, though)... I'd kill somebody if they threw a ballpoint pen into my tank (like I did 20 years ago) Link to comment
