keithw Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 Today I got a yellow watchman goby from liveaquaria, and he has a brown line near his mouth. Is this normal? I've never seen this in any pictures of these fish so I wanna make sure he doesn't have some kind of disease.
keithw Posted July 13, 2008 Author Posted July 13, 2008 Apparently not... he died today Gotta say I'm not crazy about buying fish online. Going to check out my LFS this week, hopefully they have one in stock.
lakshwadeep Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 This is my own opinion, but try to get another shrimp goby. Yellow watchmen colors are kind of dull.
keithw Posted July 13, 2008 Author Posted July 13, 2008 Yeah I might. What kind of goby typically sifts your sand a lot and has nice colors?

lakshwadeep Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 Not all YWG are yellow I guess you could say some are brownish yellow or green yellow, and females are grayish...
Kraylen Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 My homie has a pair of YWG and one day one of them changed colors to a totally different looking fish.
lakshwadeep Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 My homie has a pair of YWG and one day one of them changed colors to a totally different looking fish. Just found this article. Maybe they are now a mated pair (female being larger and gray). Breeding may occur! http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2005-12/ft/index.php
