ddk997
Hey everyone, Im about to make an order on Dr Foster & Smith on a reverse osmosis and im thinking of purchasing the 24 gpd 3-stage unit Pure-FLO Any other reccomendations? and I also ran into this. Nano Fission Protein Skimmer Do you think its worth it? I have a 12gal nanocube DX. and my first chamber is empty....Im thinking about it, but I want to see what everyone thinks or have had any past experience with this product. Thanks everyone who took the time to read this and help me out. Link to comment
lakshwadeep
Don't get the fission nano; many people here have reported problems with it. I don't know about the Coralife RO/DI, but I have heard of people successfully using the "Mighty Mite RO" added to a DI system like this: http://www.airwaterice.com/product/1MMDI/M...h_DI_Added.html Link to comment
jhealey
I'd stay away from the Fission skimmer, i put mine in my tank and the only thing it was good for was loads of microbubbles and too much noise. I gave up on it and run skimmer-less now, i'd wait and invest on something nicer. It hardly skims anything either Link to comment
patboone7
i have to say i absolutley love the Taam Rio Nano skimmer,it'sHOB so i dunno if that will work for ya,but i researched for months and would say stay away from the fission. Link to comment
JerseyChick
I just ordered this one (since I have a biocube) http://tinyurl.com/5dvse7 Good luck to you ~ I wish I could advise but I am not a "oldie but goodie" Link to comment
krankykris
I wouldn't worry about running a skimmer on a tank below 20g unless you've got a tank with very high bio load. Nothing weekly water changes won't take care of for you. Also, 24 gpd is really low for rodi. I would go with something that does 100gpd cause our tanks only get larger and more of them as time goes on. You'll be sad when you have to wait a full day to make enough water for a top off and two days to make a batch of salt for water changes. Link to comment

I want some more reccomendations on R/O systems. The Mighty looks like its on the top of my list at this moment, that was mentioned on the 2nd post. I am wondering if there was anything on Dr Foster & Smith that seemed to be top quality ready to work out of the box, because I want to order all my things on one website all at once. Thanks Link to comment
