Is This Silicone Safe?

I'm making an AC110 fuge and I;m going to Lowes to get silicone and a light hopefully but I was wondering if this is the right silicone. It says that its 100% silicone so I would think it would be safe however it also says it has a bioseal.

Permanently waterproof, unlike acrylic

Unlike acrylic, silicone will not shrink/crack

Permanently flexible, unlike acrylic

BioSeal*mold/mildew protection

Non-paintable

Lifetime warranty

If its not safe anyone have any suggestions?

I'm pretty sure this one is safe?

lowes sells aquarium silicone if i remember correctly. in general, you want 100% silicone but that bioseal doesn't sound promising.

Any silicone without mold or mildew inhibitors will work. I have used GE 1 in a repair before and had no problem. With that bioseal with mold/mildew protection probably means that it is not safe for aquarium use.

Yeah don't buy any silicone with bio seal or any other type of mold inhibitor in it.

You can buy a tube of 100% silicone from Meijers for $3.97 with nothing in it but the silicone.

The same tube labeled aquarium grade though is $5.97. Go figure !

I just bought the GE 1 it doesn't have a bioseal or anything so thats good

I found a great 12 inch T-5 fixture to light the fuge really cheap and I'm gonna order some 6500K bulbs so if anyone needs I fuge light I'm going to pick up more of these things at lowes
