magaman
I had gotten 2 feather dusters, I put them in some holes in one of my rocks, 1 has been doing great staying out and everything. The other kept going in for long periods of time pretty much as soon as my powerhead flipped on. I figured it was getting to much current so I went to move him today and he had broken himself through the bottom of his tube and seems to have planted him self in a different position in the rock. I tried to get him back in the tube but he was pulling back when I go to grab him. Should I worry about him now that he pretty much has no tube?? It is kinda tucked into a nice sized hole in the rock, and also how long does it take them to start new tubes? Link to comment
sdunkin
Just leave it alone. It will make itself a new tube where it is happy. Link to comment
marvind
yeah its usually takes about 3 weeks for it to build a new tube.. and if it loses its crown it grows back within 6 weeks Link to comment
Sexy Shrimp
Also the soft tubed kind live in the sand and hard tubed kind live in rock. If you put the soft tube kind in the rock it will always try and move where it is happier. Link to comment
