So my tank has taken a journey :) It's cycled I have pods, had algae(thanks to the cheato),I'm having coralline growth and I'm ready for something fish wise. I was thinking a clown pair but what about one false perc and like 2 other fish ? Like a firefish, clown and some sort of goby ? Or do they prefer to be in pairs provided I get them very young /pair them ?

The interaction between two clowns is worth giving up a firefish.........Besides firefish are ugly! lol

You could do one but how could you leave little clowny's best friend behind staring with those little wet eyes through the algae covered tank glass and just walk away.

Keep friends together :)

Remember when your close friend moved away? hmmmm? you gonna do that to poor innocent fishy?

LMAO J/k

I like 2 clowns. Try your very best to get two VERY small ones, with one being smaller than the other. Best chance of them pairing up and not having one killed/bullied to death. False percs are easier and stay smaller. They are usually tank bred, which make them more likely to survive and be

Forget the anemone, dont get talked into it. The clowns dont need one or miss one. You got to have much much more light to keep anemone's.

I started out with 2. One killed the other after it decided to be the female. I tried adding another small one to take on the male role. The female killed it too. I've had a single for close to a year now and she seems to like it that way.

So, you don't have to have 2.
