How deep is the sandbed in the tank? Do you have problems with the crabs' shells or anything scratching the acrylic?Also, does the tank stay around 79 degrees just from the lighting or is there a heater somewhere? Link to comment
3wordattribute Posted July 15, 2008 Author Share Posted July 15, 2008 the sand bed is about an inch because the tank was designed with a square in the middle as you can see http://reviews.petco.com/3554/106657/reviews.htm the crabs shells unfortunately will scratch the acrylic. but you can only see it if your looking for it... the tank stays at 80 flat during the day and it goes to 79 at night. my room is rather cold so the light keeps it warm enough but doesnt overheat it. hth Link to comment
3wordattribute Posted July 16, 2008 Author Share Posted July 16, 2008 well i came home from work early today and got a few (crappy mind you) pics of everything opening up... mushroom 4x times bigger than yesterday, all zooanthinds and zoas are fully opened. small mushroom has gotten bigger. 3wordattribute Posted July 22, 2008 Author Share Posted July 22, 2008 ok guys i got my reef-safe glue today and i just got home from the library. i took my rockwork (one rock) out and glued the frags to it. its not too pretty right now but hopefully soon they will grow out. ill take some pics up when the zoas and gsp open up fully.
