Bonsai Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 I want a fish for my Picotope! I just placed a special order with my LFS for a Clown Goby (they don't normally carry this fish). They hand pick fish from their wholesaler, so I asked them to pick a fat one because I've heard that Clown Goby fish are difficult to feed sometimes. What is everyone's experience with a Clown Goby in a Pico? Any feeding issues? What food do they eat best? Thanks!
Lizzie1324 Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Ive' heard that the Hikari pellets that are itty bitty work well, but haven't looked much into it. Can't wait to see the little guy in there. They are so cute
hollow Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 I just got a citron clown goby. So far I haven't been able to get him to eat at all. They do seem picky. He's still a bit spookish even being the only fish in the tank. Apparently most people have good luck with them eating frozen mysid or cyclopeze. I tried both cyclopeze and sinking pellets and he just let them bounce right off his head. Mine doesn't even notice flakes because he always perches on the bottom on my monti cap or on my mushrooms.
HecticDialectics Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 I got a green clown goby in a pico that will eat anything. I only feed once a week or so. edit: forgot -what- I feed him... normally mysis, sometimes "spirulina enhanced brine"... just an itty bitty bit of either though.
Terps_Fan Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 My yellow clown goby is quite picky. I feed a wide variety of foods, but he loves to spit the food back out. He's nice and fat though, so he is eating something.
