Gobies in 29BC

Ok so I am planning on getting a 29BC in the near future and am making some final adjustments to my stocking plans.

I am going to have 2 Percs(not sure if I want true or false yet) and either a Cave Transparent Goby or Orange Stripe Prawn Goby.

My question is about the gobies. Which species should I go with? Also what number of them?

Thanks,

Cory

I would think the Randall's goby (aka orange stripe) would be out in the open more often (especially with a pistol shrimp) than the cave transparent goby. I think it would be good to research if a Randall's goby (Ambyleotris randalli) will have territoriality issues before getting more than one.

Ok so from what I have gathered it is not aggressive unless there are conspecifics, other bottom dwelling fish or fish that enter their hiding spot. More than one can be kept but they have to have room to spread out on the bottom.

Suggestions on what species of pistol?

What kind of pistol shrimp should I get for him?

Researching the territorial thing now. Thanks

I have one that is paired with a tiger pistol shrimp (Alpheus bellulus). However, I've heard large individuals can attack small crustaceans/fish, and I know that my last hermit went missing after introducing the pair (I won't be replacing them). Try to see if you can get Randall's pistol shrimp (Alpheus randalli AKA candy stripe pistol), which is smaller.

Alright thanks!

I'll keep my eye out for one of those.

Do you think a randall shrimp would attack a cleaner shrimp or emerald crab?
