dahliaheartsyou
Just wondering of anyone has this and what they think... I almost ordered my Aquapod 24 today from Preuss Pets but don't want to put it on a stand that will fall apart... Anywho- thanks! Link to comment

Anywho- thanks! What stand is it? The ap stand that is like a square with a platform on the top and bottom? If so, I have it and it has been great for a year and a half. Link to comment
dahliaheartsyou
the knock down one? is that it? Link to comment
TheCuban1040
It's okay, I wish I would have gotten one like Ocho is describing. I think there is a square one thats made for another tank that first well and has a ton more storage space that the tiny triangle thing. It's really hard to hide any cables behind the triangle stand too. Link to comment

Anywho- thanks! I was a little scared of the AP stand so I got the BioCube 29 stand for my AP 24. I love it. You can see pics on my thread. Link to comment
Ocho Cinco
the knock down one? is that it? That's the one I have. So far so good. I guess the cabnet part is not a square. Link to comment
dahliaheartsyou
alrighty, thanks everyone! I'll be getting that one from the doctors... And uh...thanks for that comment Kraylen...you creeper...hahaha Link to comment

alison.d
I have that stand and hate it...had a tiny leak, and it warped the top enough that I can't get the door (which doesn't hold much of anything) open anymore. I've got it on hardwoods, and it has never felt as stable as I'd like. I'm moving soon, and when I do it's going in the garbage. Link to comment
cfeist
The Solana stand works perfectly with the AP24. Plus you get a drawer and storage underneath and it looks nicer imo. Link to comment
reefdan
i had that stand too and it's a POS. everytime you slightly bump your tank, you'll feel like it's going to tip over. it's designed like a top heavy bowling pin. i would go with something sturdier. additionally, the space inside the stand is practically worthless. it's very small. M@!
I hope you didn't buy it yet. I agree it's a POS. Just cleaning my tank with a mag float the thing wobbles. I also had the same issues as alison.d, my top warped from a small leak and I can't open it anymore. Link to comment
dahliaheartsyou
Wow, i guess its 75/25...more against..uh oh! Well, I'm getting a BC 29 at Preuss and the stand( theres a sale on the stand at the doctors...) Anyways, thanks for all the help everyone! You guys are so nice Well after 3 months researching, and a lot of lurking... I guess I'll be starting my own tank thread late this week/next week! YAY! Link to comment
necigrad
Definatly crap. Do anything with the tank and it wobbles. Forget about trying to clean the glass without holding the tank as well as minding the wave level. Find a simarly sized stand with a full cabinet bottom. That should give you good support, and provide you with a good bit of storage or place for a sump/refugium to boot! Link to comment

I like this stand!!! Maybe when I get off my lazy butt and do the hardwood floors, I'll change stands on my Nanocube... Sorry for the hijack! Link to comment

Reading this thread relieves my apprehension whether I'd done the right thing, had same questions few months ago, since I'm so tight I built my own, with over 250# of rock and water it's like a BSH and can't be moved, I feel good, it's pretty too! clownfish01
Have AP stand works great and is designed for that tank, top and bottom are both large for increased stability. Larry Link to comment
