enrico Posted August 12, 2003 Share Posted August 12, 2003 From the image I can suppose they are Protopalythoa spp... A kind of buttom polyps. If I'm right they have zooxantellae so they receive most of their feeding from light. By the way Protopalythoa are between those zoos who like ( = need) also some phytoplankton in their diet. el_dante Posted August 12, 2003 Share Posted August 12, 2003 I have these in my tank and I recognize them as yellow polyps. Only difference is, I have to go pay someone for mine, and you just have to go to the beach to get yours. These type of things just don't float to the New York shores you know. I'm definitely a lil' envious...lol. Good luck and send some of that good stuff to NYC. Link to comment
HawaiianNano Posted August 12, 2003 Author Share Posted August 12, 2003 Aloha! well I just was at the beach and i normaly dont just go into the ocean to pick these stuffs out but these rocks i found was washed up in the shore line still in the water and if i didnt take it, it woul have washed onto to beach and died.
