I just got this rock that I found washed near the shore that was still in the water. I Put it in my tank and had these fellas show up. Can any one tell me what these are? and if i should keep or get rid off.

From the image I can suppose they are Protopalythoa spp... A kind of buttom polyps. If I'm right they have zooxantellae so they receive most of their feeding from light. By the way Protopalythoa are between those zoos who like ( = need) also some phytoplankton in their diet.

Obviously keep 'em!

I have these in my tank and I recognize them as yellow polyps. Only difference is, I have to go pay someone for mine, and you just have to go to the beach to get yours. These type of things just don't float to the New York shores you know. I'm definitely a lil' envious...lol. Good luck and send some of that good stuff to NYC.
