XxRyosukexX
I am thinking about starting a reef tank as my first saltwater tank and I'm currently looking for a T5 fixture. There's quite a bit of fixtures out there and was wondering which brand is pretty good and not too expensive. A small review of the equipment would be nice, but not required. As for what corals I want, I am thinking about starting with some "softies". I don't think I will want to try SPS or LPS in the future though. Maybe one or two types of LPS, but it would be the easiest ones to care for. I'm not sure if it matters, but for fish, I would like to keep a Fu Manchu Lionfish. I saw an image of one on the web and I knew I just had to have it. I have no idea what bulbs to use either. I think the higher K ratings mean a bluer color, but does it do much for the corals. I looked at the bulb selection the person got in the thread "Ordered New T5HO Bulbs", and I thought the tank was really blue. If it was a bit less then I think it would be perfect for me. Could someone recommend me a combination of bulbs that would provide enough light for corals and make everything look nice. It would be nice if the bulb selection could enhance the colors of the fish too. Link to comment
