I actually will fill the tank with FW, add vinegar and cycle it through a HOB filer without media to get some water movement, and clean any crud from the filter -- dump water, and new fresh, and put polyfilter/chemipure in the HOB and cycle that to pull any traces out. fewskillz Posted June 22, 2008 Share Posted June 22, 2008 You can use a non-abrasive sponge or one of those scrapers to get any of the stubborn stuff. The vinegar helps to break it down to where the sponge or scraper will get it off pretty easily. Works wonders on coralline. Link to comment
