Finger Grabby extension tool

I was at the local HD, and in the tool section they had a flexible grabber (lack of a better word), but it was metal. I was wondering if anybody know of a plastic one that I could use. It was about 2 or 3 feet long with like 3 little fingers that sprung out of the flexible tube. You squeezed a trigger at your fingertips and it opens and closes the little finger things...

I hope someone comes up with the real name than finger grabby & hopefully it comes in plastic... I sure could use something like that..

Thanks-

Sure.

Pull my finger

:o

Ah... close... I have those... I can't do anything w/ it.. tooo big.. this had a much smaller dimension.. almost like a size of a ballpoint pin... and the tip was no more than 1/2 (maybe even 1/4) inches big and was flexable... think it was for picking up autoparts that may have dropped... like a screw, nut, washer..

Thanks-

i use an old stainless steel surgical clamp for finger grabby extension tasks in my tank. works really good at frag/glue placement and abysmal macroalgae removal.

Ha, finger grabby thing... I use a long pair of surgical tweezers for getting stuff out between the rocks... A finger grabby thing might be easier...

So, your saying that it's ok to put metal in the tank?

I had some long tweezers once, but then I read about the metal, so I stopped using it. Plus - I like the flexibility of the thing..

i dont think using metal in the tank will hurt anything. as long as it isnt just sitting in the tank rusting away.

I will have to look for the finger grabby things. I use a pair of plastic chopsticks. They work pretty well for most things but some stuff is a little slippery for them. Thanks for the idea!
